after having big time problems with the library access to ils as well as accessing material not subscribed by our library, I think I should go towards guido’s solution where at least I ll have someone to show me something.

I searched for a lot of fast walking, balancing, zmp, and other stuff today.

I hate to say it , but the uni doesnt have the subscriptions for many of those I wanted therefore I am left with some fuzzy abstracts.

I noticed that in general doctors , talk to doctors in their language and engineers to engineers , there is not much link …

Anyway.. I ll get back to it tommorow

Those folks want to make me pay for this article as the uni has not any subscriptions to it!

That is just a small sample of what I have been going through all this time for my other reports.

Today, I concluded the much anticipated meeting with dr bugmann and dr wolf who (luckily???? ) dropped in too.

These guys are in my project supervisors.

The big problems seem to be

1. Guido wants everything to be done in C/C++ and I am not capable of implementing all my ideas and math in such a short time in c. c will have to be deterministic and i want to go fuzzy with matlab and other professional tools. the embedded code they will generate might be a bit slow. neither guido or joerg are labview experts but that can be solved I hope by bothering dr white and dr Jenkins (AGAIN.. poor guys , they thought they d get rid of me after the graduation)
2. I ll have to get a huge math bit to define some important constraining factors done. things such as maximum torques and moments and forces that the joints will have to withstand in a fast walking environment
3. I ll have to get deep in finding out if the uni has the infrastructure to get my labview thing done and just to be prepared for everything, to revise a little on my C which is a bit rusty left somewhere in my head.
4. Get the human fast walking studied, get articles and make some findings.

I used spybot and it reported more than 3 trojans on my pc which is supposed to be back from HP today.

I had to reinstal everything!

a quick review of sensors on the market.

a review of a good grid sensor foot application from a very highly acknowledged institution.

a rough look at a possible control system implementation based on torques.

I waited three days for what? what is the reason anyway to repeat over and over the question of the aims and objectives?

it is already wednesday and all I got was a repetition of an old email that I think I made clear I really do not want to follow that exact particullar path for well justified reasons?

It is of vital importance for me to be in continuous VERBAL touch with my supervisor, call it a dyslectic thing if you want.. I will by all means try and establish regular meetings with Dr Bugmann at least twice a week even if they only have to last 10 minutes. It is important for me, that is the way I noticed that I can function so far and I really dont think that I can do much to change it in my 30s’ I only live 5 min from uni! I can get to uni on daily basis and I ll try to exploit that in the maximum extend.

One of the reasons I hated the previous uni was that the stuff thought they were always right and they were talking to people as if they were some kind of gods or something always trying to get as far from the students as possible. (the list is really much longer but not an issue on that post)

GUYS, Dont kill my enthousiasm just yet, I really want to do something nice about it.
